2021 Commander Comet Syrah

“The 2021 Commander Comet comes from the Discovery vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills AVA. Inky in the glass, this delivers tar, sagebrush, allspice, and dusted blackberry on the nose. The palate is soft and refined with a silky texture and a great sense of flavor density with its black fruit and chocolate core. Delicious now, watch this develop over the next decade. 2021 Palisade

“The 2021 ‘Palisade’ came from the Beverly, Champoux, and Mattawa vineyards and was stored in neutral oak barrels before bottling. Soft in the mouth, this delivers black cherry compote, mocha, tar, and suggestions of crème de violette on the palate. 2021 Sazon

“The 2021 ‘Sazon’ is a Merlot-dominant wine (64%) with the remainder Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, all stored in neutral oak barrels. Smooth and round, this shows a seamless texture throughout the drinking experience as medium to full-bodied blackberry and black cherry flavors mingle well with coffee grounds and freshly tilled loamy soils on the palate. 2022 Pugilist at Rest

The Pugilist at Rest Red Wine is a blend of mainly Cabernet Sauvignon (50%) with the remainder Petit Verdot and Merlot. 2022 Southwind Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

"Blended with 15% Merlot, fruit for this wine comes from a ridgeline vineyard known for its elevated acidity and tannin. We find both here. The aromas are effusive, with notes of fresh herb, macerated cherry, licorice, wet stone, and coffee, showing laser-like precision. The dark fruit flavors are fresh and focused, supported by bright acid and firm, chewy tannins. Cocoa notes linger on the finish. An outrageous value, it needs time to unfurl. Best from 2029 to 2036. "All the fruit for this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon wine comes from Andrews, Phinny Hill, and Aquilini vineyards.
