2022 Southwind Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

"Blended with 15% Merlot, fruit for this wine comes from a ridgeline vineyard known for its elevated acidity and tannin. We find both here. The aromas are effusive, with notes of fresh herb, macerated cherry, licorice, wet stone, and coffee, showing laser-like precision. The dark fruit flavors are fresh and focused, supported by bright acid and firm, chewy tannins. Cocoa notes linger on the finish. An outrageous value, it needs time to unfurl. Best from 2029 to 2036.
