2023 Commander Comet Syrah

"All Syrah, single vineyard, straight as an arrow and packed with raspberry and marionberry fruit. This is pure, unfussy Syrah fermented in native yeast and aged in once-used French oak. It's a pleasure to drink, especially if you (like me) revel in clean, fresh berry flavors. 93/100." Paul Gregutt.  

2023 Soleil Bordeaux Blend

"The 2023 Soleil combines Cabernet Sauvignon (67%) with the remainder Merlot. Medium-bodied dark fruits parade with tar and black licorice alongside graphite notes on the palate. Brimming with bright acidity, this is already nicely defined stuff. 92 points." Dr. Owen Bargreen.

2023 Phinny Hill Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

"100% Cabernet Sauvignon coming from one of the Columbia Valley's top Cabernet Sauvignon sites, the aromas lead initially with notes of coffee, char, and barrel spice, followed by black cherry. Classy, focused, medium-plus bodied flavors follow. The tannins are velvety soft. Bright acidity frames it all. The balance is exceptional. It's a tribute to the site and to the vintage at an absurdly affordable tariff. Best after 2029. 94 points, Cellar Stocker." Sean Sullivan.

2023 Sazon Bordeaux Blend

"All the fruit for this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon wine comes from Andrews, Phinny Hill, and Aquilini vineyards. The aromas boast notes of blueberry, plum, flower, herb and wet gravel, showing crystalline clarity. The palate is reserved, supple, fresh, and tightly wound. The vintage's acidity energizes it. It's a delicious and outrageous value. It's drinking well now but will have a long life ahead of it. Give it a short decant if opening in the near term. 93 points Critic's Choice." Sean Sullivan.

2023 Southwind Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

"The 2023 'Southwind Vineyard' Cabernet Sauvignon comes from this windswept site in the Walla Walla Valley, set on Loess soils. This is fresh with great energy on the palate, reveling in its core of crushed blackberry compote, wet stone, tobacco leaf, and shades of pencil lead. Seriously good now in its heady youth, watch this evolve over the next decade. 93 points." Dr. Owen Bargreen.

NV The Pugilist at Rest

"The non-vintage Soos Creek 'The Pugilist at Rest' Red Wine combines Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot with a dash of Syrah. It is very herbal with dark currrants, chocolate, and graphite notes with firm tannins on the palate. 91 points" Dr. Owen Bargreen.

2022 Pugilist at Rest

The Pugilist at Rest Red Wine is a blend of mainly Cabernet Sauvignon (50%) with the remainder Petit Verdot and Merlot. It is forward and juicy with black currants and chocolate covered cherries alongside espresso grounds and herbal accents on the palate. Medium bodied and fresh, enjoy now and over the next few years. 2022 Southwind Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

"Blended with 15% Merlot, fruit for this wine comes from a ridgeline vineyard known for its elevated acidity and tannin. We find both here. The aromas are effusive, with notes of fresh herb, macerated cherry, licorice, wet stone, and coffee, showing laser-like precision. The dark fruit flavors are fresh and focused, supported by bright acid and firm, chewy tannins. Cocoa notes linger on the finish. An outrageous value, it needs time to unfurl. Best from 2029 to 2036. Pair it with grilled ribeye. 14.1% alcohol. Micro-agglomerated cork. 75 cases produced." 92 points." 2021 Commander Comet Syrah

“The 2021 Commander Comet comes from the Discovery vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills AVA. Inky in the glass, this delivers tar, sagebrush, allspice, and dusted blackberry on the nose. The palate is soft and refined with a silky texture and a great sense of flavor density with its black fruit and chocolate core. Delicious now, watch this develop over the next decade. 2021 Palisade

“The 2021 ‘Palisade’ came from the Beverly, Champoux, and Mattawa vineyards and was stored in neutral oak barrels before bottling. Soft in the mouth, this delivers black cherry compote, mocha, tar, and suggestions of crème de violette on the palate. A delicious and dense treat to savor now or enjoy over the next fifteen years. 93 points.” Owen Bargreen.

2021 Sazon

“The 2021 ‘Sazon’ is a Merlot-dominant wine (64%) with the remainder Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, all stored in neutral oak barrels. Smooth and round, this shows a seamless texture throughout the drinking experience as medium to full-bodied blackberry and black cherry flavors mingle well with coffee grounds and freshly tilled loamy soils on the palate. Enjoy now and over the next decade. 92 points.” Owen Bargreen

2020 Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon

"Principally sourced from Ranch at the End of the Road vineyard, with a barrel from Ciel du Cheval, this is the last Soos Creek vintage from any Red Mountain grapes. Dense, compact and deeply saturated with flavors of cassis, black fruits, anise and espresso, this just needs time and/or decanting to unpack all it holds. I suspect it will age into a truly gorgeous old wine, but that may take a decade or more. Were it aged in new oak, rather than used, it would rock the world. 14.1%; (Red Mountain) 93 points."
